Who should attend and Why should attend

Access to information and network is crucial for one’s success in Mongolia.  Discover Mongolia Forum provides not only an access to information but also a platform for mining companies to influence the Government’s policy on mining and foreign investment. For a young democracy such as Mongolia, it is crucial for the mining industry to come together to promote the benefits of mining to the general public of Mongolia.

Every year, approximately 700 delegates attend the Forum with varying business focus. Even though the main focus of the Forum’s delegates is on the mining investment outlook in Mongolia, the conference had always enjoyed active involvement from the mining service providers.

The seasonal advantage of Discover Mongolia IMIF creates a platform where investors get to access the latest operational results from various exploration and production projects throughout Mongolia hence previously the Forum’s participants witnessed significant amount of investment transactions during the conference.

For the past 12 years the majority of the delegates included:

  • Mining and exploration company executives

One of the most distinguishing characteristics of Discover Mongolia Forum is that it offers its participants a direct access to the Government of Mongolia through its Government Hour event. From this year we are delighted to introduce a new feature to our Government Hour event which is that the Organizing Committee will be accepting questions and comments from various stakeholders within Mongolia’s mineral exploration and mining sector. All questions will be directed to the respective government body in advance of the event hence giving ample time for appropriate officials to prepare to address the issue during the Government Hour.
